As it has not been nice at all to go outside and play, I have been working quite a bit these days on my “End of a Beach Day” painting, and I thought I would share my progress with you:
- I Worked on my kitties, and I decided on the colours for my umbrellas and beach chairs (orange, green, yellow) for the right side and then (blue, green, yellow for the left side – opposite main colours for the cabanas). I still need to add some purple lines in between the colours and I will do some modeling work on them. The colours I used are very typical of the Italian Riviera (ahh my fond memories of Alassio).
- Added a dark coat of prussian blue/paynes grey on my bike. I will also do some highlights and a bit of modeling on the bike to punch it up a bit, not too much because I want to keep it simple and I did a bit of modeling on the blue beach huts with the left over paint.
- I also just blocked in some green for the grass and some paynes grey/white/prussian blue for the asphalt. I am not to sure about this yet – I may remove the grass. I am just experimenting at this stage. Well, I still have lots more work to do, so I am off to have some lunch and do some more painting. Andreas is working late tonight so I can just paint non-stop without making dinner…LOLOL. I love those days sometimes when I am painting and on a roll!
I would love to finish the painting by the end of the week! Have a great day!
