2008 Update

Hi Everyone, sorry it has been some time since I have updated my blog.

I have been quite busy finishing some commission paintings and organizing for our big move back to Canada. Yes, my husband and I will be moving back to Canada in early February and unfortunately, I will not be updating my blog until I move back home. I will continue my blog when I move to Canada and at that time it will be "Lisa's Ottawa Happy Hour."

We have enjoyed our 3.5 years in Copenhagen and beautiful apartment by the Oresund Bay. We also met some very nice friends during our stay. Thanks so much to all my readers who have stopped by my "Danish Happy Hour Blog" to see what I have been up to in Copenhagen. All my best wishes to you all.

And now it's time to say good bye. I am really looking forward to moving back to my beautiful native Canada.

Rainbow before the Storm

Hi Everyone, the other day I was busy varnishing some paintings in my kitchen when all of a sudden the sky became very dark over the water and out popped a beautiful rainbow over the water.

Then it began to come down in buckets and hail. It was really something to see. I have never seen a rainbow before the rain storm???

Wishing you all a nice day

I am so happy and proud to announce that I have been selected to be on Imagekind's homepage as one of the Featured Artists of the week!

Please visit: http://www.imagekind.com/ and you will see my name and a pic of my Colours of Nyhavn painting.

When you click on my painting image, your are brought to my print gallery at Imagekind.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look. Wishing you all a great week.

Email from Imagekind:

"Lisa,
Congratulations! You have been selected as a Featured Artist of the Week at Imagekind!

We have selected an image from your gallery to be placed on the homepage of Imagekind.com, along with a short artist’s bio, which links to your Imagekind profile. This will stay in place for at least a week and sometimes, dependent on its popularity, may continue in place for another week. This cycle usually takes place on each Wednesday. You don’t need to do anything, you’re already on the homepage! However, this is a great time to update your galleries with any new work and to ensure that all your relevant details are in place.

It is our privilege to showcase your work as being outstanding amidst a field of so many other great artists and photographers. Our success is entirely about you, our creative community. Please tell your colleagues, friends and family about the #1 place on the web to discover and purchase original art.

Have a great day and we wish you continued success!

Cheers,

Which Flower are You?

I love flowers and found this site that tells you what kind of flower you are based on your answers to a few questions.

I am a daffodial: You have a sunny disposition and are normally one of the first to show up for the party. You don't need too much attention from the host once you get there as you are more than capable of making yourself seen and heard.

Back from Wonderful Canada!

Hi Everyone, We are finally back home in Copenhagen after a beautiful, busy trip to Canada. I am slowly getting back to my daily routine but unfortunately caught a bad cold coming over.

We had a wonderful vacation and the weather was just gorgeous--a real Indian summer with all the trees changing colour.

The big event of our trip was my sister’s wedding, which was just amazing and she looked so beautiful and radiant. My new brother-in-law Martin was also dashing! I am so happy for them both!

We did so much, and I have not had chance to sit down and write a good post, so in the meantime I leave you with this little post and a few pics. I will write more soon.

It was so great to see all my family and friends.

I also celebrated my big 40th birthday with my close friends and family! Thanks so much to all of you for coming and sharing in my big day and your wonderful gifts. I also had my first Thanksgiving Dinner in Canada in 12 years with yummy turkey and all the trimmings. It was such a wonderful Trip!

I hope you all have been doing well and enjoying the beautiful Fall! In the meantime, I wish you all a great week!
